My Story

I earned a B.A. and M.A. in history with a concentration in military history and German from Southwest Texas State University. I have always held a fascination with military history, especially World War II and the Korean War.

When my mother died in 1984, my world was turned upside down. Fortunately, my step-mother took me under her wing. She told stories about her older brothers who are the basis for my first book, Wingtip to Wingtip.

Following in my parents' footsteps, I am a public education teacher with over 30 years' experience. I have taught courses in American history, world history, geography, and German along with many other minor subjects.

I enjoy learning and love to travel. Countless volunteer hours with the American Youth Soccer Organization as a referee keep me active and busy. I adore my lovely wife and three daughters.
